Our Montessori floor beds are designed to fit standard Australian mattress sizes, with a little extra room for the handcrafted timber frame.

Not sure which size to choose?
For smaller rooms, a Single gives your child plenty of space without taking over the bedroom. A King Single is a great long-term option for growing children, while our Double is a popular choice for families wanting extra room for cuddles and bedtime stories.
Mattress thickness
We recommend a mattress around 15–20 cm thick so you still retain a good amount of protective rail height.
Rail height options
Our standard beds have side rails 45 cm high, with the head and foot ends 52 cm high.
For families wanting some extra height and enclosure, we also offer a higher rail option, with side rails 65 cm high and the head and foot ends 72 cm high.
Custom rail heights may also be available on request. If you have a thicker mattress or a particular rail height in mind, please get in touch before ordering and we can discuss the best option for your bed.

The measurements above are the approximate external dimensions of the complete bed frame, so use these rather than the mattress size when measuring your room.
